After way too long, we’re shooting to have the third printing out by the end of June, to correspond with some Exceptionally Cool Things we’ll be able to tell you about in a few days.
STAY TUNED, LITTLE VIKINGS.
Meanwhile, we’re shopping for quotes from printers, since ours seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. If you’ve got any recommendations, please drop us a line at peteandpetezine(at)gmail.com (for specs, see http://krebstar.bigcartel.com/product/waiting-for-october-a-tribute-to-the-adventures-of-pete-pete )

We’re still sold out (and, yes, planning an eventual third print run, but it might be a while), but you can still get copies over here. Check with contributors, too!

Yes, it’s still going to happen in the next few months.
No, nothing terrible is going on.
So, whence the delay? All we can say for now is that Plans are Afoot, which, if they come to fruition, will change the size of the print run.
We’ll let you know more when we can. If you’ve got a lucky penny, now’s the time to make sure it’s charged up.
Mysteriously,

We’re working on getting the third up and running—more news as that comes together!
If you’re a retailer or contributor who anticipates wanting to make a wholesale order, we’d be mighty grateful if you’d e-mail us as soon as possible at peteandpetezine(at)gmail(dot)com, so that we can take that into account when we set the third (and likely final) print run.

Pete and Pete fan Tim Beard attended the cast & crew reunion in LA a couple of weeks ago and was kind enough to both post Cinefamily’s footage of the event and write up his impressions of it. Check it out!
(And while you’re at it, check out the most excellent P&P t-shirt he has for sale, The Kids of Cranston Street.)

WE ARE BACK IN PRINT! Shipping will recommence shortly.
Big, big thanks to Rachel Deering, who was instrumental in helping us find a new printer on incredibly short notice; and that new printer himself, Noel of IC geeks, who has been an absolute dream to work with.
As always, you can order the brand, shiny new second printing of Waiting for October here!

Chris Haley is selling the original art from his gorgeous Flex Mentallo-homage Artie pinup! (And man, check out the sweet full-color version. Maybe someday we can do a full-color edition. In hardcover. With spot gloss. Mmmmm, spot gloss.)

This is a pinup of Artie (the strongest man in the world) I drew for the Pete & Pete zine, “Waiting for October”. (Which you can order a copy of by clicking that link!)
It’s based on a pinup of Flex Mentallo drawn by Frank Quitely.
It was colored by Joe Hunter.
The original art for it looks like this..
..and if you’d like to own it, you can buy it from me for $30 by emailing me at thechrishaley@gmail.com!
Obviously, reblogs are loved and appreciated!
My best to all of you, my little vikings.

Remember Lindsey’s gorgeous casebound limited edition? We just posted the last eleven copies over at BigCartel! If you want one, click fast—based on how quickly the rest went at the release party, we don’t expect these to be up for long.

GOOD NEWS: We’ve sold through our first printing!
BAD NEWS: Some last-minute changes to printing logistics will delay orders for a little while.
GOOD NEWS: We should be up and shipping again by the last week of August.
BAD NEWS: There’ll be a slightly longer-than-usual order-to-delivery gap for some recent orders (you’ll have heard from us via e-mail by now).
GOOD NEWS: If you’re one of those people, we’ll be sending you a free Kreb Scout Merit Badge button along with your zine.
MORE GOOD NEWS: What we DO have in hand are the last ten copies of the plaid limited edition, which we’ll be posting tonight.
STILL MORE GOOD NEWS: If you want one of the release party posters, they’re still available over on etsy.

Edited with updated poster info. (8/5/12)
ARE YOU STILL ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS?
No.
I CAN’T BELIEVE I MISSED THIS! ARE YOU GOING TO DO A SECOND VOLUME OR AN EXPANDED EDITION?
It’s reasonably likely, but even if so, it won’t be for a while. If we do, you’ll hear about it here first.
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH THOSE PLAID HARDCOVERS? HOW CAN I GET ONE?
The plaid hardcovers were a limited edition of 24; there are 10 or 11 left. We will be posting them on BigCartel in the next few days. They’ll be $15, plus shipping. You cannot reserve them in advance, and they will not be available wholesale.
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH THOSE POSTERS? HOW CAN I GET ONE?
The posters were a giveaway at the release party. Lindsey, who made them, has some extras, which you can purchase over at etsy.
IS IT TRUE THAT THE ZINE IS SOLD OUT?
Yes, and no. We’ve sold through the first printing, but our print shop is local, so we’ll have the second printing in hand before we’re caught up on shipping the first.
I’M A RETAILER. DO YOU DO WHOLESALE?
Yeah. Shoot us an e-mail at peteandpetezine@gmail.com. We’re about to set the second print run, so now’s a really good time to get in touch.
WHERE WILL YOU BE DONATING THE THEORETICAL PROFITS, AGAIN?
VH1 Save the Music Foundation.
I REALLY LIKE THE COVER / CENTERFOLD / ANOTHER PIECE OF ART. ARE YOU GOING TO SELL PRINTS?
No, but the artists might!
ARE THERE GOING TO BE ANY OTHER SPECIAL / LIMITED EDITIONS?
Only if contributors decide to make and sell them.
CAN I BUY A COPY AT MY LOCAL COMICS / ZINE SHOP?
Right now, the only comics shop that we know carries Waiting for October is Bridge City Comics, in Portland, OR. Your local comics / zine shop is welcome to contact us about ordering copies, though. See above re: wholesale
CAN I BUY A COPY AT MY FAVORITE CONVENTION?
We—that is, Miles and Rachel—probably won’t be selling Waiting for October at conventions (we both work at a publisher, so when we’re at shows, we’re usually representing them) but contributors might. (And contributors, if you let us know what shows you’ll be at, we’ll post that info here so readers’ll know where to find you!)
WILL YOU BE AT THE LA REUNION SHOW?
It’s possible but extremely unlikely.
